Studio Apartment at 27 Palace Court - the BYU Centre

We have known for months that we would get the studio apartment at the BYU Centre in London.  I had visited the small studio apartments that the students had in the Barlow center and envisioned a small space. Much to our surprise, the room is large and comfortable.

This is a Murphy bed that folds up against the wall.  It has a wooden frame all around it.  Putting the clean sheet on the top of the bed was very difficult..I expect the fitted sheet to pop off any moment.  We have decided that we can live with the bed down instead of folding it up every morning.

The door to go out into the hall and stairs is to the right.  It is next to the fire extinguisher.  There is a small hall and an outer door.  And they now have keys.  I guess someone got robbed some how so now we can.actually lock the door to our tiny home.

A sofa for the professor to sit/lie on. Plus a huge table with 6 chairs.  I cannot imagine inviting anyone to visit us since it is against the rules.  So was this table designed for poker night at the Centre?

The two cabinets on the far left side are the refrigerator and a separate freezer.  Lots of storage room.  The other apartment had a miniature fridge.

Stairway to the bathroom or shower room.  There are closets for storage all along the wall.  Much more storage than in the one bedroom apartment.

I love the heated towel rack.  Now if we could just get two towels each instead of one each that would be great.

The view from our window.  There is a small balcony outside this window.  I'll bet I could fall over the low railing without any trouble.  I am not planning to crawl out of the window to find out.

Education corner.  Most of the books are travel guides.
