Ealing is really no place fancy. It is a borough of London. We had lunch with our landlords two years ago when we were in London two years. It doesn't seem that long ago. They live in a high-rise apartment with a great view overlooking the city. They arrange their travel frequently by switching houses. This time they are off to Venice for about ten days and then on to Germany.
Not far from the subway/tube is this small old church and cemetery. Last time we were way too early for lunch so we spent longer looking at headstones. I am carrying a fresh bouquet of flowers as a gift to our hosts.
This must have been a gatekeeper's lodge at one time. The church sits next door to the cemtery.
This is just one of the many enchanting old buildings clustered next to the church and graveyard.
I think this place proclaims itself to be a pub and a brewery. I wonder if at one time they actually made ale here.
The tall building in the background is the apartment building where the Holland/Mannings live
It is called Kew Eye. Sounds strange, doesn't it? From the balcony of their apartment you can see Kew Gardens.
This is the balcony. It is just an extensions of the apartment with glass walls/

I confess. I dropped the camera the day before on a concrete sidewalk. I think it is
the end for my sweet little camera.
