Elfin Oak is located in Kensington Gardens close
to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground.
The tree is a 900 year old tree.  The playground is
open only to adults accompanying children 12 and under.

Duck Island Cottage, Summer 2010

The Mall leading to Buckingham Palace
I don't know if it is always blocked off to automobile
traffic but it was a pleasure to be there without cars.

We saw several different types of horses on
this bridle path.  Maybe this is the
Horse Guard.

Statue of Diana the Huntresss in Hyde Park

Everywhere there is a beautiful display of flowers.
Tulips are starting to fade and the
daffodils have only leaves.

Kensington Palace where William and Kate
with their two small children currently reside.
The new baby is Princess Charlotte
Elizabeth Diana

Media camped out hoping for a glimpse of the new baby.

St Martins in the Fields
from the rear of the church.
It faces Trafalgar Square and can be seen
in the picture below.

The red telephone boxes are a thing of the past.
Thank goodness some are still around for
tourists like me.

The National Portrait Gallery

Trafalgar Square with statue of Lord Nelson

Memorial for soldiers in both WW I and WW II

Taxis parked in the middle of the street.\

Our small but comfortable bedroom.
The armoire is all of the storage that we have.

The kitchenette has a refrigerator on the right and
a freeze  on the far left.  A dishwasher in the middle.
One of the aspects that I like about the flat is that every
electrical outlet has an on and off switch.  The stove cannot be
turned on with out turning on the power and then
the buttons for each spot.
