This afternoon John and Melanie flew to Paris. Before going I went off with them to see Portobello Road. We barely saw the beginning of the street. It is such a long winding street with lots of fascinating shops and items for sale. A lot of cashmere scarves. Cashmere gloves for 25 pounds.
I am hangng onto my American wool gloves.
Not my usual vision of a garage.
A door for my collection
I love her happy smiles. Even when her feet were hurting and we dragged the two of them off in search of ice cream on Sunday night.
Antiques and odds and ends everywhere. Such as these delightful miniatures.
John with the "not the usual" telephone box.
As usual I was not paying attention and walked smack into these hanging tote bags. Fortunately Melanie was standing right beside me and I grabbed her or I would have been on the ground. Totally threw off my balance. She wass my anchor in my stormy sea.
