The first night that we were here at the BYU London Centre, I heard a clip-clop sound coming from the street. May 2015. Being a reader of mysteries and romances, I immediately wondered in the dark of the night what magic coach or carriage drawn by horses was going past our window. The next day I commented about the mysterious sound of horses in the night. Our neighbor in the flats, told me that what I heard was the sound of someone pulling a piece of luggage along the sidewalk. Of course, that made perfect sense to me.
This afternoon I heard the very distinct sound of clip-clop outside the window. This can't be luggage, can it? I threw open the window and leaned out to see what was creating the noise. I am sorry that I could not get a better picture. Two horses walking along Palace Court.
From our apartment, we could hear the loud chanting of a group of men demonstrating. When we walked down the street. we saw this group of men carrying placards and chanting. We really never understood what they were protesting. We just saw a sign saying Turkey = Isis. And that the other signs were concerned about no one in the government doing anything to help people in war zones.
The next day there was a sign on the door of this newly remodeled building indicating that it is the High Commision for Guyana. A flag was hanging over the door as well.
