Could spring possibly be here to stay?
It was another beautiful day in Paris. This great weather has coincided with a spring break from school for many people. Therefore in this beautiful weather the streets are full of people. A lot of them seem to be patiently standing in line to go on an elevator up the Eiffel Tower or strolling along the Seine.
We went to find the Passe Muraille today. I was so surprised that the Professor had never seen the man walking through the wall. He is on Montmartre, but he is out of the way. You definitely need to be looking for him in order to find him.
As you can see the left hand of Marcel Aymé is glowing brass. No one seems to be able to resist posing with the statue as if attempting to pull him the rest of the way through the wall.
Jardin du Palais Royal
The garden was full of people, many of them eating sack lunches. We were lucky enough to find two seats together in the "shade" of the leafless trees. In other words there was just the right amount of sun and shadow. It was amazing to see people dressed in their business clothes sitting on the edge of concrete that was level with the ground just so that they could sit in the sun and eat their lunches.
It is delightful to see some of the fountains in parks turned on. Others have people working to clean them before turning them on. Surely this is spring.
This is the extraordinary Metro entrance on Rivoli.
