Cleaning
It has been a bit scary cleaning house before having guests arrive. I have done a much more thorough cleaning than I have for the last two months. And nope, I don't think that all of the dust and toy parts and hair brushes etc that I have vacuumed up from under heaters and furniture have accumulated since we got here. Oh, not to mention crayons and pencils. Most interesting and a uncomfortable. The thought has crossed my mind, "You mean I have been living here all of this time in an apartment where no one has moved furniture or vacuumed under radiators since goodness knows when.".
I just keep tossing things in the garbage such as the little boy pajama bottoms. Don't suppose anyone is going to be using them any time soon.
I absolutely refuse to clean out a couple of closets though. There could be a monster living in each of them and they can just stay there undiscovered. I just don't want to know what decade they were last cleaned.
As the Professor says this apartment needs a cave (a cellar in the basement of the building). There are two mattresses siting upright in one closet almost filling it. I am not about to disturb them or their dust. We are not even going to discuss the dust on the baseboards or decorative trim. Remind me never to get a headboard that is made with some kind of velvet fabric and buttons. Hmmm
The adventures of renting.
