Lisa and her girls visit

A visit with Lisa and Camille and the old girl and the mean girl.
These are the names given to them by their 4 year old cousin Turk.  It used to be just the girl for anyone of them. So we are moving in the right direction.  Probably he knows Camille's name because she is the best baby sitter in the whole world.
I know them better as Camille, Madeleine and Elodie.

is no sand to bury the handle in.

Maybe next year I will get a better picture of this unusual door.  In this photograph

it is difficult to see the scale of the door to the building.  It is extremely tall

and narrow.  Sydney pointed it out to us.  We have driven past it on our way to the beach 

dozens of timeswithout noticing it. 

Birds we have never seen before.

Possibly they are American Avocets.

I was concerned about disturbing them.  This is the best of three shots of them.

The snowy egret is a common sight on the beach at La Jolla Shores.

Another strange bird that we saw while at the beach was an Osprey 22 Bell-Boeing 22.

This has been a controversial military air craft largely because of the huge

cost of manufacturing it.
