Going to lunch in the Belleville area
We went out to the Belleville area today. We tried a restaurant that has a lunch time Thai buffet. The food was disappointing but the market we went to afterwards was an adventure.
We have never been to one of the open air markets when the vendors were selling off the produce and getting ready to close their booths. The aisle was packed with people. We bought beautiful white mushrooms for 1 Euro for 1/2 kilogram. We added tomatoes for the same price and amount. When we looked at the clementines, they were 1.99 Euro for 2 kilograms. We bought just a kilo. Whether we can eat all of the fresh fruit and fungi, I don't know. But we'll try.
Yesterday the Professor and I bought a kilo of tiny pears for 99 cents. No excuse for not eating healthy. Especially since both the pears and the clementines are sweet and ready to eat.
